I have an '85 f-150 4x4 and noticed a few small holes in the top of the carbon canister.What are the symptoms of a bad canister?
Should I replace this part?

Have you noticed any problems with youre emissions? I say if it isnt broken, dont fix it.

I have'nt noticed any emission problems but the truck does
stall on ocassion,mosty when it rains.Even with new wires,cap,rotor etc.When I saw that the canister has a few small holes on top of it I thought maybe that could affect performance.
I think this truck and other Fords don't like wet conditions.
