bronco ll transmissions swaps
will a transout of an 87 bronco ll bolt into an 86 both have manual trans and 2.9 fi engine. how can you tell if they are different? can't find any code tags or #'s on either one.

There are two trannies for the 2.9, a Mazda and Mitsubishi, you need to look at the bottom to determine what you have. I beleive they can be swapped but I'm not 100% sure. If you do a search here and the BII forum you should find more on this.
