new truck
my son was reading the paper today and he found a 2003 brand new left over at the local Ford dealer for like $8000 and its never been titled before. Tomorrow im going to go check it out and see if i can swing it. not that my 99 is in bad shape but if i can get a newer one cheap with no mileage on it i think it may not be a bad idea.
The one im looking at has alot less in it but its got a five speed and air condition so maybe it wont be so bad

i didnt buy it it had almost nothing in it and it also was a shortbed; kinda like the ones they use at the chain auto parts stores for deliveries, but this one was gold instead of white. I decided i couldnt live without the sliding window and the cloth seats and particularly the short bed. plus ive grown accostomed to my power windows and the tape player. In addition the truck had a black rubber mat in it instead of carpet, so i decided to keep the one i have. I did tell the dealer if he got any longbeds in that would catch my fancy to give me a call... then today i broke down and washed the old one nice and bought XM radio for it so chances are ill wind up holding onto it for at least another year or so
