I have searched with very limited success - both here and in the Misc. Forum (Wheels, tires, etc.). I would like to know what the torque specs are for the wheels on the following truck:
'04 150
FX4
SCrew
18" Wheel Package
I called the dealership and they gave me specs for 12 and 14MM bolts... but this must be length and not nut size?
This is the first time I have ever owned a truck let alone an American vehicle - I have always purchased German. With that aside I was quite surprised to hear service for Ford talking in MM... I was expecting standard measurements - Go figure.
Yesterday I had the stock tires flipped so the blackwalls are now facing out and I want to make sure my wheels were torqued to the correct specs. I appreciate anyone's help on the matter and I will continue to search for my answer.
12mm or 14mm is the lug dia/thread size. Some of the new trucks have metric lug patterns, so it wouldn't surprise me if they have metric lugs as well. Sorry I can't help you on the torque spec.
Thanks for the info. That helps somewhat. I am really surprised I cannot find this information readily available. I guess I may just have to brake down and pick up a manual.
