Tire sizes

im buying a truck with 315/75/16 can u guys tell wut all the # mean i know the 16 is the rim size? also are these 31's

A 315/75/16 is 31.5 CM wide, with a 75% aspect ratio on a 16" rim, so, it's 12.4" wide, with a 9.3" sidewall, on a 16" rim, add that all up, 9.3x2 = 18.6+16 = 34.6" tall.
Generally, a 315 is equavalent to a 35x12.50
