I just got my 2000 XLT back from the shop. I had a donor door installed to repair a retarded moment on my behalf... Well, I told the body shop guy to just leave all the hardware off, so I could redo the inside of the door for the speakers that are in there. Only problem is, I believe the donor door was from a '98, and the lock cylinder is a different size. I'm already curing that with the Dremel tool, but does anybody know of any other differences I should expect? The mirror went on fine, and the door ajar wiring went OK, except the '98 door had one extra wire in it, but the switch now works, and I have no idea what that wire does... Anybody???
The two that ended up working were a black one and a yellow one, both the door and the truck had them... I'll have to wait until it gets light out to go and check what the 3rd one was...
