Tips...for looks or what?

Tips...for looks or what?

I'm wondering if putting tips at the end of the exhaust pipes will add to the sound or not. I had a flowmaster 40 delta installed w/o tips. If I decided to get tips, is it mainly for show or will it enhanced the sound?

it will deepen/mellow the sound a little bit if they're big enuf, like 3.5"x18" or so...thats what i'll have on mine. they look good too tho.

The longer and wider the tip, the deeper and mellower youre note will be. Plus, chicks dig tips

I really like the look of mine and it's already got a deep mello tone with those super turbo's on there. You can build a really sweet exhaust system, and the tips will add looks as well as alittle function.
