Off Road Pkg??
Hi,
I recently bought a 1997 ford f-150 4x4 (off road) extracab stepside withe the 4.6Lmotor,and auto transmission.
My question is what changes on the truck when it has the 4x4
off road pkg?Thanks

On my '03 F150 Supercrew, I ordered the optional Off Road Package. On the window sticker it reads;
FX4 Off Road Equipment Group
. P265/70R-17 OWL All Terain Tires
. 3.73 Ratio Limited Slip Axle
. Skid Plates
. 17" Cast Aluminum Wheels (4)
. Rancho Shocks
It could be that it's different for different years though. I would however guess that the off road skid plates underneath, and the heavier duty shocks were pretty much standard throughout the years. Hope this helps you some.
