Extra Fuel Tank

I have a 81/F350 Dually with a dump box, it only has the stock fuel tank, which I beleive to be around 16Gal.
With the 460 conversion I did, this tank needs to be filled alittle too often, what were the options for that year or the years around that for extra fuel tanks, & its placment under the vehicle.
I don`t want to have a custom tank made if not needed.

You may not have to many options. A while back I seen a JCwhitney Catalog that had replacement tanks for the older fords. They had stock sizes and larger sizes. They were suposed to be a direct replacement for the stock tanks. I hope this helps

depending on frame clearance, there is a front tank that goes on the inside of the frame rail in front of the axle, then there is the rear tank between the frame rails behind the axle. Do some looking around the site here, as I remember something of a larger tank for this series truck, but I don't remember which forum it was in, but may have had something to do with a shortbox tank or something.

The standard rear tank was 19 gal. Try www.LMCTruck.com, they seem to have the stuff you would need.

I have also seen an ad somewhere for a 38 gallon tank , jcwhitney I think.
