It has the pork flavor to it with a wild taste. But it is like any other animal it depends on what they eat for their taste of the meat. And yes they do get nasty, wild hogs is one of the dangerous wild animals. They will attack without warning. It is a fun and exciting sport. Wild hogs are as thick as hair on a dogs back in the south. They are really thick in Texas and Florida.
