I need to know the size bolt that bolts the rear backing plate to the rear axle flange... (8 of 'em, 4 each side). Is this a "standard" size grade 5 bolt?
I can't find the ones I took out anywhere (tearing my garage
apart looking for them!).
Help!

Thanks. I found the nuts (1/2"-20, fine thread), but not the bolts. Any clue (other than a bone yard) on where to find them?
LMC, John's F100, Auto Crafters, Dennis Carpenter don't seem to have them (although the DC catalog shows them as an "1107", they have no listing for it). ARGH!!!!
Ford dealer might have them, since 9" was used for so many years. Otherwise its bone yard time! There were two sizes used so if dealer bound make sure of size!!
THe Ford part number is C2AZ 2248-A, qty 8 and they are 1/2" x 20 and 1-29/64" long. They fit 57-63 by the book but also fit most 9 " rears on the cars also. You might try the dealer for them. I also have access to a obsolete parts locator, so if you want I can track some NOS ones down that way.
