Steering Gear Box

I have a 95 XLT with 61K on it. The steering box is starting to wear out. Have any of you had one wear out with this low of mileage on it. How hard are they to change? Any Idea of what the cost for a replacement will be?

What makes you think it's wearing out? Maybe it's just wearing IN. Have you tried adjusting it?

I did my gearbox just last weekend on my '87. Mine was leaking like crazy, and from what I have heard they are such a pain to rebuild that its better just to replace. Mine ran $150 and a $180 core charge. The job wasn't too hard except getting the pitman arm off, make sure you have a good puller and better reflexes.
