Engine Build date. Where is it?

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I am new to the forum and to owning a diesel. I bought this truck brand new just last Friday(2/27/04) and so far I love it. However I must say that in reading this forum for the past couple of hours, I'm more than a little concerned as to weather I did the right thing or not. The build date seems to be important, and the one on my door says 11/03. However I can't seem to find the one on the engine. I have looked all over the valve covers, and found several stickers, but none seem to display an obvious date of any kind. Is it there but coded somehow?
On another note, I assume my truck has the latest re-flash, what ever that may be. Judging from the problems associated with the Oct/03 re-flash, I'm guessing mine is a later programing than that? I say this because this thing hauls ***. I in no way condone street racing, but being at a light, clear road ahead, with a brand new Dodge 1500 Hemi beside me egging me on, well I just could not let this opportunity go by. I only ran him to 70, at which point he was about 3 lenghts back. My mileage also seems to be excellent. I only have 285 miles on it so I do not have any figures yet, but my gauge still has not hit the half way point. Like I said, SO FAR everything is perfect. But as they say, the night is young.
