I have been looking for used cars and noticed a difference between NADA and KBB for value comparing the same vehicle. Yes I am comparing bluebook to what a dealer would give for the same vehicle in trade. NADA seems higher in each case I looked at.
there is a third book its called the black book, dealers use this to base current whole sale value to vehical tradins, its printed weekly, its based on the previous weeks local auction results. remember, when buying, its retail to retail or whole to whole sale, plus you are paying someone else to sell/dispose of your trade in, its always best to sell your car/truck on your own, the used car market is depressed because of the new car incentives, so dealers dont make as much on trade in's as they used to.which means they give less for trade in's. just some info for you.
yeah a person usually wants to get about the middle of wholesale and retail for a vehicle. I don't like on kbb.com that mileage doesn't play a bigger factor.
