Performance Upgrades
i have a 99 b3000 5spd 6cyl 3.0 and have been looking for performance parts and upgrades. have found intake made by volant, only company i am aware of that makes one that will fit my truck. looking for headers to add horsepower and anything else that will make it run faster in 1/4 mile..according to stock specs will run 19.1 at 69 mph...i know i run faster, possibly in 17's range 
...would like to get to 15's...turbo? what can i do to get this thing to be a "sleeper" when racing? customizing outside is nearly done, lowering 3 inches is next option...please help with any ideas or information...anyone know how to remove the governor? set at 96mph and 3500 rpm's...cant break in 4th or 5th...broke once while going downhill, got to 107...

to get around your rev-limiter, consider getting a performance chip. from what i have read, the diablo chip through this site is the best option. to add more horsepower, consider new headers, exhaust and a supercharger.

unfortunately, it's for the new trucks. there's ways to make it fit but the truck won't pass smog if you do. from what i've heard, another company is working with them to create bolt-on kits for the older models.
