Possible Computer Problems
I have an 89 300 five speed 4x4. I got in it and started to make a trip home, I got about 35 miles down the interstate and noticed that all off a sudden it was running hot. I then pulled over and let it cool down, added water and drove to a garage where it has been for 2 weeks. It is now pooring black smoke out at an idle but running fine at full throttle. When scanning the engine the first time a series of codes appeared and everything was fixed. Not helping at all, we then scanned it again and a totally different set of codes appeared. Does anybody know if the computer is bad and if that would cause the series of problems that is going on? Love The Truck But i think its tryin to kill me.
