JERK IN DRIVELINE WHEN TAKING OFF AND STOPPING

You really did'nt have to drive that far to have it done professionally. I do that type of specialty work at my shop here in Simi. Granted it's on Bmw race cars but I have always been too **** to let anyone else touch my stuff, when I Know the things that go wrong.
I know the trip to AZ was really un-necessary but I didn't get the feeling from the shops around here that I wanted. They just weren't that into it if that makes any sense. All they wanted to do was quote kit prices from a book. When I mentioned that I wanted to use the rear springs from the 8" kit along with the 5.5" kit, they looked at me kind of funny, like I was crazy. I'm sure I just didn't visit the right shop. I am **** about my toys as well. That was the first time in all the years since I've had vehicles that someone else has done any work for me. I have done lift kits before and solid axle kits are pretty straight forward but when I looked at the sheer size and weight of the components on these trucks, I figured the $300 that it cost me to have someone else wrestle them was well worth it. I hurt myself in an off-road accident a while back and ended up with a spinal cord injury and partial paralysis so I ain't as strong as I used to be. SuperDuty Hdqtrs in AZ gave me the confidence in them that I wanted to feel when having someone else wrench on my baby. Besides, I was dying to take a road trip in my new truck...what better reason!! I was able to hang out in the shop and watch every turn of the wrench as well. It was a great trip!

It is interesting to find someone in the same town on this world wide web site, discussing their Superduty stuff
I hear ya! I have run into a couple locals over on Ford.Diesel.Com. One guy came up to me at a gas station and told me my name because he recognized my truck from the web...that was a trip!

Take care Gino,

Bill McCall
