auto 4x4 f150 please help???
i have an 1986 f150 FI 4x4 auto with an AOD...when i got it ... it had set up for about a year w/o any trans fluid in it...i put some in it and drove it home .....the problem was it would cut out bad and act like it went into neatral then it would kick back in ....the mechanic said it was probably the inline fuel filter ...so i change it . then i cranked it up and it ran perfect but would not shift out of first ......it only had first and reverse..it wouldnt shift out of first at all and you couldnt manually shift it into 2nd...it stayed in 1st even though the shifter said 2 D or OD ......i check tv cable it appeared to be working ...im not familiar with this area so im stumped????????
