replace headlight.....how??
I have a 2001 F250 5.4 liter......no air cond.......
The passenger side headlight has a broken lens...a rock flew up and
hit it.
To save my butt, I cannot figure out how to get that headlight
out......so I can replace it. I know it sounds really dumb.....but it
looks like I need to take the radiator loose.....or something like
that. But I don't really believe that. But..........I have spent
several hours messing with this..........and still dont have a clue.
How the hell is it done? What simple part of the procedure am I not
figuring out? I assume there is something that "SNAPS" into
something.......and I dont know what the "somethings" are. It sure as
heck is not as simple as removing a few screws and the headlight falls
into my hand.
Is the procedure illustrated in any of the manuals that a large
library mite have...like Motors or Chilton?

The procedure is listed in your owners manual. If it is the same as a 2000 there are two L shaped retainers just to the rear of the assembley that you pull up on to release and then remove the lens and then the bulb.
