Help Plz!

I was wondering if the aerostar rear differential would fit well in my 88 ranger ext cab. the aerostar has a 3.0 and the ranger has a 2.9L. .. and umm are rear differential easy to swap? I swaped my 2.9 with an other 2.9. I want to know if the Differentials would be the equivilent. Thanks

the aerostar has a 7.5 rear end and i think the ranger should too, so the ring and pinion will inter change but the housings will not, the aero is wider and uses a coil spring suspension.
