Looking at 98 Expy

I am going to look at a 98 Edddie Bauer 4x4 that has 47,000 mi. on it. They're asking $16,900. From the description and pics it looks to be in good shape. If it checks out, I'm going to try to get it out the door for $15,500 (tax, license, etc.). What do you guy's think of the price. Good deal or look further?

Thanks

Chris

Don't know about the price but I had great luck with mine. It was an excellent and reliable truck for the four years I owned it. Only problem was the air suspension after 104K miles. Some like the LLS option but if I was buying used I would look for one without the air suspension - many have had problems with it and in my opinion it's just another bunch of gizmos that can go bad.

Thats low mileage for a 98, I did however, just purchase a 2000 xlt with leather and the works (only thing was 4.6 instead of 5.4) for around the 15 1/2 mark. I would check out some of the online pricing guides such as www.kbb.com, www.edmunds.com, etc.

Good luck though, if its your first expy, you won't be disappointed.
