Explain this:

I roll up behind a new Dodge dually yesterday, and I notice 5 different spots that he has for his brake lights. He has the normal 3 spots: 2 tail lights and the light on the back of the cab.

Then he had 2 more lights on the tailgait. One of them was right in the middle of the tailgait where the handle usually is and the other was right above his bumper. Neither one of them even worked and this truck is brand new. I know this is a really stupid question, but why is that?

maybe they are just reflectors...or a secret device used to signal other life of equal, or lower intelligence. If you didnt get the signal it may have been a compliment.

BlueOvalFitter:

A new lightning smokes a new Dodge any day. Gauranteed.

I've seen the race at a track already.

Perhaps the transmission is broken so he drives around in reverse all day and needs the extra light, or to warn Fords that their is an upcoming slow Dodge in the way so that the Fords don't smash into the back of him.

43K base price for that SR10! Not cheap. Probably 50K decently loaded. Nice looking truck, though not my style.

I'm a Lightning fan for sure; I was merely stating how they stuffed a 500 HP V10 in a SWB truck! The dayum thing cant even stop burning the tires enuff to get a good et. And at 43k,ide much rather a Lightning; something about that Eaton blower whistling sends chills down my spine!
BTW,whos going to the Gatornationals? Me!

What's the Gatornationals? Is that strip racing or a swamper event? I'm assuming it's in ocala or Orlando speedway??

Its part of the NHRA/Powerade 1/4 mile drag racing series. The drag strip is located in Gainesville and runs March 18-21! Its where you can get a fix of ground shaking, ear piercing, nose burning nitro,7000 HP top fuel and funny cars!

Ah man, too bad. Gainsville's a little far for me. We get those "Hot Rod Sundays" down here alot at Moroso also though. Some of those drag cars have engines bigger than my living room.

I've never seen one with extra lighting on their tailgates though, hmm maybe they just haven't caught on to Dodge's secret yet
