Question Mechanic Manuals

Just took delivery on a 2004 F-250 XLT, Crew Cab, 4X4, 6.0L (After the money spent, couldn't just say a F-250 LOL) Who makes the best manual for this truck, preferably with diesel info also. I can work on gas but inexperienced on diesels. Thanks for any help.

Mark

The most comprehensive manuals are the DVDs they sell on ebay sometimes. Probably cheapest too.

Appreciate the info. Another question. Are there any major differences between the 2003 and 2004? I can find a bunch of DVD's for the 2003, but info on the 2004 is limited.

You can also get on line manuals.

www.alldata.com

Copies of the Helm manuals on the internet.

I purchased a one year subscription for $24.00 I
think. I will probably purchase the Helm manuals
later. I have done that for all my vehicles.

The alldata manules were used to install
an add on alarm to my 2001 keyless entry.

I have road runner and WiFi. I just take the
notebook out under the car port and connect to
the internet and access the manuals.

Who doesn't like to have the paper in front of them... I just print off the pages I need though. I'd rather have a manual, but at least this is a hell of a lot cheaper. If I get grease all over the page, I can just print off another...

The good thing about the paper manuals is that
I can load them in my tool box along with the
scan tool.

That has saved my *** a couple of times. I have
a history of breaking down on the 4th of July
out of state. The manual makes repairs easier.

Oh I forgot that was the Suburban. No need to
carry the manuals for a Ford.
