'99 Ford Explorer Door
I need some help... I was opening the door handle to my 99 explorer and snapped the handle right off... Now to get the door open I need to roll down the window and open it from the outside. Ive got the parts but would like some tips or maybe a place where there are pictures/ verbal run through of how to take aprt the door so I can get in and replace the broken handle with the new one. Thanks for all your help...

There are two screws near the door handle that you need to remove. You will also need to remove the plastic bezel piece around the interior door handle. This just pops out with a small flat screwdriver. Once the bezel and screws are removed you will need to remove the door panel. Start in one of the lower corners and pry the panel up. Using your hands pull on the door panel releasing the plastic push connectors. Once all the connectors are released pull up on the panel. The panel fits in a groove at the top. You may want to disconnect the switches to completely remove the panel. Replacement is the reverse of removal. I find it easiest to put all the push connectors on the panel before replacement. Push the connectors back in using the butt of your hand.
