Factory Installed Alarm
Is there a way to dis-engage the horn from beeping when the doors are locked using the remote? It's a 98 Explorer Sport and its the factory installed system with a keyless entry.

If it is truly factory, check the manual for any settings listed , if none are, then see if this is what you are looking for;
according to a car alarm/stereo forum I am also a member of, the wire that honks your horn with the alarm is yellow with light green stripe, negative polarity and located in your steering column. In theory, if you find that and disconnect it the audible indication should be disabled from alarm. (verify your steering wheel button will still trigger the horn)
NOTE: This will probably disable the horn if the alarm is triggered, also!
