I am looking for anywhere in Indiana or close by that installs haeders on a 2001 V-10. I am looking into buying a set but want to find someone to install before I dump that money in them. Anny suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
It is time consuming and a little akward but you can do it yourself. Check this link. http://forums.ford-diesel.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=20&t=000886 Click on Stans web site. He posted some good info on the install. Many folks at www.ford-diesel have done the install. You can search here for info too. I posted some tips many months ago. e-mail me if you want even more info.
I appreciate the links & ideas. Have you heard a V-10 with the headers yet,I wonder what it sounds like. I am probably going to buy a complete exhaust so it is all new & hopefully get me the most power without major expenses.
I hear it everyday! The headers add a bit of rumble to the exhaust. Not so much out the tailpipe but from themselves. The thin wall tubing isn't as quiet as the castiron manifold. It isn't annoying at all. I don't even notice it anymore. You can piece together a system from Borla or Gibson for about $900 or buy a complete kit from Banks for $1600. Banks being the best, Borla second and so on.
