clutch fork

hey yall i have a 1970 f-100 with a 3 speed standard tranny what holds the clutch fork in the bellhousing?

on my np435 theres a ball mounted on the bell housing and the clutch fork has a clip that slides onto it

There are 2 types on the 67-72's the early style uses a special spring wire to hold it to the pivot, the later has the spring built into the clutch fork. I think the new style started in 70
