hissing on acceleration update
Got a message from the dealer shop this evening. Needed a new computer chip ( the cause of amber check engine light being on constantly). Hissing sound was from a leak/ opening in exhaust under engine. I didn't have a chance to call them back, so I don't know the exact details. Comp chip is on order. leak is supposed to be fixed. I'm supposed to get it back Thurs, or Friday. I'll sit down with the mechanic when I pick it up and go over the details then. I'll post the info by Fri or Sat if anyone is interested.
Aside from that they're supposed to undercoat it and and install the bed extender while it's there. Just bought the S/T last Saturday!
Even though it's unfortunate I've had these problems from the git go, Sheehy Ford here in Richmond,VA, has been falling all over themselves to make me happy(so far). Loaner for as long as I need it, a promise to fill my gas tank(S/T) when I pick it up, free undercoat! I bought my ranger from them in 2000. Had nothing but good experiences with them since.
Based on my previous experience with them I think I'll be satisfied. If not then I'll certainly let them know!
