howdy everyone,
I have been searching the forums for a few days but cant seem to get a definate answer.
Can someone save me some time and tell me what holley (or edelbrock) intake manifold and carb will fit on my 390 engine.
I use my f250 for towing horsetrailers and other ranch work.
(a 77 F250 stepside, with an engine out of a 74 390 )
the best edelbrock intake for torque in a 390 would be the edelbrock performer and if you plan on hopping the rest up someday go for the performer rpm, holley sells a holley truck avenger carb 660cfm i think, but that would work great on your truck.
yea go with the edelbrock peformer gives you better low-end torque and hp. costs about 180 bucks. the best carb wold be a holley truck avenger 670cfm. cost about 400 bucks.
well the $180 is from autozone actually. i guess the price varies a lot,jmn6 make sure you shop every where you can think of for the best price dont get ripped off!
