Okay, "build date" is not necessarily your build date. March 8th is a Monday- whenever Ford gives a Monday as a build date, it means it will be built THE WEEK of that Monday. So, your truck will actually be built somewhere between the 8th and the 12th. If all goes well, you'll see your vehicle 10 days- 2weeks after the build date. In a few rare cases, it takes longer.
I had a VOPC build date of 2/23. Truck actually built on 2/23 and arrived at dealer on 2/25. Pretty Sweet!!! However I am in St. Louis...approx 4-6 hours from plant by ground.
Funny... I ordered a new one on the same day, 2/13, called the dealer today and he said, they assigned it a VIN number, but he didn't know the build date. He said he would get an update tomorrow and call me.
I ordered my F350, CC, DRW, 6.0 on 02/05/04 & on the 20th they gave me my VIN#. I called the VOPC (Vehicle Order Process Center <!-- -->) gave them my Dealer #, Body style # & Order# & my trk is being built this week & delivery is expected the wk of March 15th.
VOPC says my truck was produced (3/29) and released yesterday (3/30). However, It does not give a delivery date anymore. Up until this morning, the delivery date was "week of 4/12". Has anyone else noticed the VOPC not giving the delivery date after releasing the truck? Just curious. I'm pretty pleased with the turnaround on this order so far. It looks like I may have the truck in under 5 weeks total.

Mine had a VOPC build date for this week; I also got a release date of today. You're right, they dropped off the part about the delivery date on VOPC. Hopefully it will be the 10-14 days metioned elsewhere. The waiting is growing to a fever pitch now!
