It's on Yahoo stocks news F I reread the artical and it says 02/03 super duties and ex"s but nasta is allways a year or two behind on these things, so watch for the new trucks 150"s to show up also. Heres the link:http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/040301/1246000746_2.html
I don't think the '04 F-150 would be affected. The new F-150's don't use any of the same engines that the SuperDuty's use. The SuperDuty's 5.4 is a different engine and you can get the 4.6L in thr SD.
Uh gear heads! We are talking about computers and throttle units not engines. While I'll admit that I don't know squate about this new tec. concerning these new trucks I will bet that a lot of the parts are like or simular. You building 29 diferent trucks on one line/there is going to be alot of dual use.
hats2wt - They (the throttle bodies) may be "like or simular" but does that automatically mean that people with 2004 model F-150's should worry about recalls that were applied to 2003 and older SuperDuties with different engines? That is what the original post on this thread implied. I really don't think so. And I think if Ford recognized a problem on those older trucks that they would take action to eliminate it on newer models.
