2000 Explorer Headlights

Is there a way to turn off the headlights on my recently-purchased 2000 Explorer XLT at night? I plan to use the truck on the beach at night, and general "fisherman etiquette" is to turn off the headlights and use the parking lights. Right now the lights are automatic, and if I turn the switch to the off position after dusk they stay on. Thanks.

HEADLIGHTS

Did you check switch on inside rear view mirror ?That controls how long they stay on after shutting truck off and in off position you control lights by dash switch....
