Question c-6 to BW1345

Alright, I am in the middle of my 4x4 conversion and think I might have run into a snag. I currently have a BorgWarner 1345 transfercase mated to a C-6 transmission. I want to convert to an AOD but I am not sure if the rear of the transmission housing (tailshaft) is the same where it bolts to the transfer case. I have been looking on eBay and found a couple of companies that sell rebuilt transmissions but none of them mention anything about the tailhousings.
I know they make adapters for everything but I really don't have the $500 + (advanced adapters) they ask for them. If anyone has any input please let me know.

The extention housing is different. You find one at a junk yard for about $40. Just go to the 84-89 broncos. Most of them that had an automatic tranny either had an AOD or e-AOD. They both have the same housing.I have just put an aod in my truck and if i were you I would stick with the c-6. Its built better and if you dont know anything about tv cables you will burn an aod up in a couple of miles.
