I just got a 2001 F-250 V-10. Iam wanting to install an amp in the truck. I looked under the dash and saw a set of wires with nothing pluged into it. There is a label that says "Customer Access Circuit" I checked fr power and there is none there. Do I need to put a fuse in some where to get that live?
Next to those customer access wires is also a switched 12volt circuit, but it's a small wire. I'd ditto the above suggestion to run straight off the battery with larger wire. Optimally, you could use the switched wire to activate a relay that powers your amp.
