302's weigh in at about 460 lbs

last time i crated and shipped a 300 it weighed 500lb with the crate and strapping (now i wish i had weighed it before crating it).
so the 2 engines are pretty close the 300 might even have a few lbs on the 302.

when i did a 302 swap from a I6 on a 80 F250 i had the frontend raised a few inches with the 302. just be sure ya got a cherry picker or motor hoist that'll lift high enough for the I6 to clear the core support. I had to pull the front tires and drop it down on block cause the I6 is a tall motor.
