smog questions?
Out here in vegas or smog is pretty strict. Too many Californians are moving in. 
lol. You have to have a smog pump, cat, egr and all the other good stuff that your vehicle came with factory. I know my 88 bronco has that whole two cat system on it. What was the purpose of that again? If I were to put on a high performance cat and muffler would I pass smog even though the whole two cat setup is not there and would I see a difference in power?

I have a Bassani Y pipe on my 96 that has one high flow cat, instead of the two piece stocker, and I passed MA's sniffer test fine. The only thing that might get you in trouble is if the inspector has to do a visual inspection, and somehow knows that either the truck should have two cats there, or can tell its been modified. I picked up power when I added my high flow Y pipe, but I am not sure if you will notice any "seat of the pants" power from just swapping a cat. Youre exhaust should get a bit louder though.
