Diesel has been between $1.49 and $1.55 here in St. Louis for months. I use a local Phillips 66 that pumps a good quantity of diesel since the nearest truckstop fuel is about 20 minutes away. My neighbor has had a PSD for years and has never had any problem with the fuel so I've been getting mine there. Even when reg unleaded shoots to $1.69 (which it was this morning), diesel actually dropped at my station to $1.54. Go figure.
Right down the road in Brentwood stopped at BP, was going to fill up and grab a SunDrop. Well I get to the pump, 2.09, I will repeat 2.09, two dollars and nine cents a gallon. I asked dude if it was right on the pump. Said yes, we are the only station in Brentwood with Diesel. Thank god I had about 100 miles left on tank. Went three blocks down the road dropped to 1.65. Back home, 35 miles away, it's still 1.49.
I live about 35 minutes north of Atlanta. Prices were around $1.53 when I got my rig (mid Feb) and then went up to $1.59 after the first week of having my truck. Funny thing was that I was busting my brothers stones because diesel was so much cheaper than gas..... but OPEC made me eat my words shortly after that
Here in Falcon, CO it is 159.9 for #2 but we get a 3 cent/gal discount with our card. so not to bad. That is a 10 cent jump in a week. I herd on the news that it is because of the frenzy in the oil markets, no good reason, not a shortage or anything. The supply is steady, just higher prices. If it goes much higher I'll start using Bio mix again

Northern and central Nevada has always been higher than almost anywhere else. No idea why. I made a fuel distributor in Fallon a rich man a few years back.
Paid 1.72 north of Anchorage and 1.64 in Fairbanks Wednesday;
Check out flyingj.com. Gives a listing (updated daily) of all their prices. Ranges from $1.94 in Pasco, WA down to $1.36 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Hey Yataalli, used to live in Battle Mountain, NV (halfway between Elko and Winnemucca) where it is $1.86.
I'm just happy? that I will be spending most of the summer in OKC, where I can afford to drive my truck. If only I could afford to get it there.

Hmmm 81 cents a liter up in BC, Canada. 3.20$ a gallon.... Consider the exhchange rate 2.50$ american. It hurts to watch the guage go down in my 1970 4x4 these days
I started this thread some time ago and just the other day , Diesel jumped to $1.62 overnite. Gas stayed the same so don't know whats up?
Anyone have the answer for this since we are on the subject of fuel prices. I buy fuel at a convenience store that just switched over to Shell..used to be Texaco. Decided to get a Shell card (a Master card) to buy fuel with because it offered a 7 cents a gallon on gas discount BUT found out later, will not discount anything for Diesel purchases. Called the company and got no explanation. Go figure! If they can do one, they ought to be able to do the other.
I'm guessing they assume you use the diesel as a commercial customer and that unleaded is a consumer purchase. They don't want large non-fleet card users to get a break!! Just a guess......
