np203 shifter probelms.
I hade just last week filled my 203 with a mixture of 80-90 and 10w30 oil. Since then my shifter has been making noises and moving once in a while. Mostly under hard acceleration. I have had difficulty shifting from low lock to high lock but even in nuetral the thing is making noises and moving. I don't know if the is a linkage problem or if its related to the lube. Any ideas?

Howdy there! The 80w-90 is just fine for the np203 and there are many who've ran 80w-140 with no problems. I suspect this is the cause. Chevy 203s actually called for 10w-30 and did fine on them but its not suggested for Fords. I'd drain and refill without the engine fluid. I doubt that you've done any harm to the transfer case as they're pretty tough. Good luck.
