Hey guys, I definitely have a coolant leak somewhere. Sometimes when I crank my truck up I can hear air bubbles flowing through the lines. When I pop my hood I can smell coolant. Also, when I turn the truck off, I can hear what sounds like coolant hitting the manifold on the drivers side. I changed my plugs and wires about 2 weeks ago and found coolant where the plugs are. The coolant was moslty in #6 but the was some in #5 and #7 as well. There was no coolant on the electrodes which made me feel better about the situation but I still have a leak somewhere. I have been told that there is a coolant line that runs under the lower intake manifold. I looked for it but I couldn't find it. I keep a watch on my coolant level but it doesn't seem to be losing alot but it still does. I checked all around the head and there is no residue of coolant to be found. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd have to guess that the heater pipe under the intake is leaking.
You cant actually see it, except for a small part at the back where the heater hoses are, unless you remove the manifold.
I would take the truck and get the cooling system pressure tested to see where the leak is.
Hey Jimmy, I am gonna order a pressure tester here soon. I'm up at school right now and am headed home the first week of April. hopefully I will be able to locate it then. I was planning on working on it over my spring break, but puttin a body lift on my little bro's pathfinder took a little longer than expected. I wouldn't of had the time to mess with pulling the injectors and the manifolds. But hopefully I will be able to get to it soon.

Just wanted to let you know that I removed the intake manifold and found indications of the gaskets leaking. I replaced the intake manifold gaskets (and the heater hoses while I was at it) and have not had any problems since then. I took a four hour drive this past weekend and no indication of anymore problems.
