Question A little help with a problem

I've got a '96 350, reg cab 4x4. 351 auto.
At a dead stop, like at a stop light, When I go to accelerate I get this hesitation then a bump. It almost feels like a bad u joint or something loose in the driveline somewhere.
Anyone had this problem? It's more of a "feeling" than a "noise"

Could be some slip in the converter, or maybe you have a worn out rear end or driveshaft.

Go down a street that is not busy. Put the truck down in 1st gear and leave it there. Let the truck take off, give it half throttle, let all the off, the real quick, put it on the floor. If the truck revs up, and then takes off and you hear a bang, your backlash needs to be ajusted on the ring and pinion.
