Yesterday, I filled my 02 PSD that has the 29 gallon tank and found that I can get 4 more gallons of fuel in it, if I wait for the foam to go down. I run the pump as slow as it will go and let it trip it's self off. Had to stand there and then "dribble" in those 4 gallons.
Just thought I'd pass this info on to you guys as this will make a dramatic difference in the hand method of fuel calculation. I done this method of fuelling on the tank full before refueling yesterday and calculated the mileage and it got 14.2MPG. I didn't think that was too bad for "winter blend" fuel
If I was to give up one, it would be the V-10. Don't get me wrong, it's a good truck, very very smooth running and soooo quite that you hardly know it's running. Gets around 12MPG but just doesn't have the power band that the PSD has. I think the V-10 would take it off the line but after the first shift of the tranny, the PSD would be far ahead.
