2v or 4v heads?

well no my 351C is not in a truck. alas....it is in a Mach 1 haha....even better...

It has a 4V set up of course. I happen to have a single plane manifold for it.

I hear alot of people say the 4V arent meant for the street. Now does that aminly imply in a truck? As this is not going ot be a grocery getter and I dont so much need all my power in low end to pull a trailor or pull out the muck. I plan to bring it from light to light, very quickly. Maybe do a bit of autocross with my 19 foot long behemoth.

Should I stick with the stock 4V intake? go with the single plain? or actually downgrade it to a 2V until I do SERIOUS mods to it?

Right now it is .030 over, 9.5:1 comp instead of the 10.5:1 it was stock. It has a slightly bigger cam grind, forged pistons, cast rods and crank.

(that is all going to change one day of course)

Thanks.
Jimmy, from the 4.2 forums.

The 4V's in mustangs and mercury's used to carbon up awful unless they were driven very hard on the highway. Any town driving used to kill them. This was back in the old days when those vehicles were new. For some odd reason the 383 Mopars had the same problem.
