Just wondering how I stop people in the rear seat from messing with the radio. I have a 98 expy and the controls are on the rear of the floor console. I noticed that on the radio display there is a little headphone icon.
don't know why Ford designed it this way, but whenever you shut off the radio and turn it back on, it defaults to the rear controls being ON, so you have to use the 3/5 button combo again. I don't know of a way to change the default. If you leave the radio on all the time, it doesn't defalut. Does anybody know if there's a way to change the default?
Simply put, No. If you dont have the CD changer, you can pull the radio and unplug the second connector from the radio to permantely disable the rear controls. But to use them, you have to plug it back in.
