Sling Towing
Anyone know where I can find instructions on towing with a holmes 440 sling type Wrecker? I just Rebuilt my truck (79 F250 SuperCab 4x4 Wrecker) and need instructions on hooking it up to another Vehicle. I have the Owners manual for the Operation of the Wrecker, But Im looking for somthing that tells me what height to have the boom, when should I extend the boom, the best way to hook the chains to the sling, ect.

You may want to check a locksmith supply or tow truck company distributor as they sell books that tell the proper towing method I did it for years and I can tell you improper will cost you money. I believe you can find a tow truck supply compnay under a & w direct -- I will look for an catalog and get back with you. But, any locksmith supply company usually has the books, or try ebay. good luck. Found catalog it is www.awdirect.com

$25 dollars ain't bad, my psychilogy book from last semester was $95.00!!! I only got $45 when I sold it back, it was brand new when I got it. Go with a manuel, you gonna start your own small business or just having some fun? -wb
