Anyone else experience poor door alignment between the front door and rear door on crew cab models? When I purchased it in May I noticed the drivers side rear door would not release from outside latch once in a while. Had it to the dealer twice. Now I noticed the doors touch at the top. It's nicking the paint. I suspect the lot boy mechanic they had work on it did'nt know how to fix it correctly so he adjusted the door position. It's going back tomorrow for the 3rd time.
I noticed the pass. side front door on my crew cab was not lined up right about 1 month after I got it. It looked like it wasn't closed all the way on the top. My dealer corrected it the first time though. My truck was made in Jan. 2001
Yep checked mine this morning and the doors on the driver's side rub at the top and it is chipping the paint. Boy I sure did buy a lemon. 1.Knocking motor 2. already had to repaint the hood 3. missing steering stabilizer 4. Door alignment problem, only owned the junk 3 months. Any one wanna buy it????
Yup! Left rear door on my S/C is badly aligned. I have not even touched on that with the dealer yet. If you have read any of my other posts you will know what I'm going through with the truck. See "Help super duty leaning" for more. I've attached a picture of the front of my truck as it came from the dealer. Note the misalignment of the front bumper. The picture does not show it well but the hood was also out about the same amount. Although this is a minor detail it is still not right. You should not have to have most bolt on body parts aligned once you have taken delivery of the truck.
