The same could be said about Bush and some of his campaign slogans in 2000.These types of reports do little to change anyones mind.Especially someone who decided long ago on which side they were on.

Like, umm..... "Never mind the facts, my mind's made up!"
Well, sort of.The people who post in this forum seem to have made up their minds. Most of what is posted is by folks who, through discussing most of these topics, have allready expressed their point of view in other posts.I'v discussed things with quite a few of the most frequent posters.I'd say at least 80% of us allready know where we all stand as far as which way we will vote.I wasn't disregarding the information.I would think it would be hard to change a lot of peoples minds here.Though it wouldn't be impossible.Might make an interesting poll.
Bashing Bush is it their way of getting their point across. If they agreed with all his policies, what would be the sence of having an election. He'd be a shoein.Right now ,the canidates are jockying for position. When the smoke clears on who is running, then their policies will come under even more scrutiny.Right now they are just trying to tell the people what they want to hear to get the nomination.I'm looking forward to the first official debate. That is when they have to take a firm stand on the issues. There is a lot of talk on flip-floping by the democrats. If the truth be known,Bush has done a little of this himself.Check his campaign slogans before he was elected, then check on how many he actually followed through on.It's just politics as usual IMO.

The point is, Kerry and the other Dems are saying NOTHING!
How are you supposed to pick the best one out of the group when you have NO IDEA what they stand for???
This type of voting is reckless and irresponsible!
Good point. But don't you think Bush is being kind of quiet himself.Bush needs to come up with some of his own answers to the current problems we are faced with. They will corner him soon enough. When they do,we'll know his side of the story. He has a lot to answer for.IMO

Entirely AGREED!
I am a outspoken democrat, and personally I am disappointed and embarassed at the candidates we've put out in this election. Kerry... Sharpton... Moseley Braun... even Dean
As much as I don't care for Bush... I can't really see the others doing much better, except for maybe they are more similarly in line with my moral convictions, and that is even with many exceptions.

Roll the clock back to the year 2000. What did you hear from Bush that impressed you enough to vote for him? Out of what he said, how much did he accomplish? The most notable actions of this administration will turn out to be reactions to unforseen events that occured after Bush was elected.

I cannot understand that statement. My quandry re the candidates is NOT from a lack of pronouncements on the issues, they are there for all to find and evaluate. My quandry is that none (including the incumbent) has demonstrated the vision and strength needed to lead us in difficult times and we are left with a "hold your nose and vote" situation. I'm hoping, but not optimistic, that the coming months will make it easier.
