i'm not having any problems. many of us dont have tachs in our trucks and would like to have one. my cluster works perfectly, it just never came w/a tach. i dont know why they wouldn't just install them on every truck. i'm fine driving a manual tranny w/no tach. i only worry when i lend my truck out because i fear it may be overrevved by somebody else.

Do you have a diesel tach for a 87-91 Ford Truck? Have you tried a diesel tach on a gas these year models? I am beginning to think that the diesel tach I tried might have been bad, the needle just jumped irratically.

Anyway no, I don't have a diesel tach or a diesel cluster, I only know the diesel cluster works in my 93 F350 because I swapped clusters with a friend of mine for 100 miles "just to see", because of this thread.
My cluster worked in his diesel dually (94) and his diesel tach cluster worked fine in my truck, though the tach approached off-scale very quickly, obviously.
