The "DOC" didn't even realise i was on it - he's a bright eyed wonder assigned to a ship for the first time.
Brand new LT.....
I'm suprised he even remembered my name......
I should have stolen a catheter from an IV at the time and left the world under a slow drip to a toilet bowl. That and a bottle of JD would have made my world very simple if I were not far more stubborn than that.
I will not QUIT -

I don't take meds for anything, ever. I don't believe in them, and advise others to stay away from them also, unless it is for things like the flu or vaccine shot.
Don't know what personal demons are troubling you but I think you need to accept the fact that life is sometimes utter misery.
Well, I can for certain say that those pills are keeping you in check. I have family that suffers from severe schizophrenia and depression. When she decides that she doesn't want to take the pills anymore, it starts out as an "I can do this" then quickly fades into a crazed stupor that leads us all wondering why we are helping her.
are you exercising? you have to release some of those endorphins otherwise life can be way to much to handle.
i do agree however that these meds today have been a real lifesaver for many people, allowing them to live normal lives.
good luck.
Wolf: meds don't work the same on everyone. There's a variety, all work a little differently. Keep trying if you want to continue on the meds route. Counseling. Exercise. Diet. Environment. All factors. Don't quit!

I agree 100% mother in law is manic depressive and every 9-12 months she thinks she does not need the pills anymore. She complains about some of the same things G.W. does.
G.W Keep trying you have alot of friends here pulling and praying for you .
Hang in there Greywolf - I hope you can get the meds thing figured out. My uncle was in a pretty bad way as he suffers from depression. The docs over medicated him so bad he'd shake like he had a BAD case of parkinsons, and his feet would swell up so bad he couldn't put his boots on. After a few scares and hospital visits they finnally figured out how to get dosages right, and what he needed and what he didn't. Sometimes doctors DON"T know what they're doing and I'm sure treatment isn't the same for almost anyone. Good luck on getting things straigtened out and I can't blame you for being impatient, grudging, or outright P Oed at the situation. best wishes
I think doctors are technicians. Some are good, some are not so good. Some are better at troubleshooting then other ones are. Some think that they know what the problem is before they do any testing. Hang in there and ask questions.
And some are bright eyed idiots filling a temp-job because its a footstep up the ladder. i wish i was making their money right now - it would solve everything.
Folks - I need to downright apologise for venting a lot of stuff that probably has no place here.
I also need to let ya know right now that my HD in this last gen computer of mine had a problem 2 days ago that may cause it to flame out at any time. I thought it already had, but I reseated a ribbon cable and so far it hasn't skipped a beat.
I suppose one way to put that might be: "DANG! This machine still has oil pressure...."
But it could drop out at any time, and if it does don't worry.
I may not have another machine online for a long time after that but don't think for a minute that it means I did anything STUPID.
I'm kind of suprised to be online right now, but so far so good.
I have one thing going for me. I'M ANGRY!
But anger, at this point, is a sign of healing.
I thank you very much for all of your prayers and concern. I was never good at asking for help - I prefer to run on my own and just FIX THINGS. In doing that, I have cut more than a few people out of my life at times, only to be forced to go back and reckon with them later.
