00 t/c question questions

My transfer case on my 00 f250 4x4 diesel got stuck in 4x4 hi, so i tried taping the shift motor(i have a ESOF system), but no luck. So i disconnnected the vaume line, and the front hubs unlocked so i was able to get it home without breaking anything. It will shift into 4 lo, but takes 4 -5 tries to get it out, but will not go back into 2hi. I tried backing up and go forward about 10 million times, no luck. I pulled the rig into my school shop, took off the shift motor, grounded it to the t/c, and nothing. So i took off the wiring harness's connected to it, there were 2. One with 6 wires, and one with 2. I had someone in the cab working the switch, the key on but the motor off, here is what i found out with my testor: in 2hi all the wires in the 6 pack harness had 12 volts, in 4 high, one wire did not have power, and same with 4 lo, so i figured that tells the shift motor2wd or 4wd, right? Then on the other connector, i had no power with anything, what is that 2 wire connector for? I thought these trucks had borg-warner cases? My case is a new process 278 or something like that. Is my shift motor junk, or is it wiring or a relay or something? Thanx in advance.
