460 swap
i am pondering building a 53-56 F100. i havent decided on the front suspension yet, but i have narrowed it to three choices, the mustang ll, the volare, and the pre 80 cordoba. i want to use a 460/C6 combo, and would like any input using this engine combo with the above mentioned suspensions, including clearance issues, and how you solved them.

The Mustang II will give you a lot more room for the engine and has much better eye appeal (if that's an interest to you). I haven't used a 460 engine, but I am using a Volare suspension and it's very tight at the steering box with ANY engine installation. Niolon's a switch hitter and therefore knows both sides as Larry says. Check out his suspension articles...
